Oostvoorne center area redevelopment phase 1

An urban design/landscape vision plan has been created for the center of Oostvoorne. This plan states that Oostvoorne wants to have a lively and inviting village center. To make this possible, a number of roads in the center have already been redesigned. The next phase of the redevelopment is now planned.

Citizen Participation

Through a process with residents (citizen participation process), a new design for the public area was created. In making this design, the goal was to make the center attractive and safe.

Utilities

Currently, utility companies are replacing and reinforcing cables and pipes in the center of Oostvoorne. This is necessary because of problems with the electricity grid (grid congestion) and outdated cables and pipes. This work must be completed before redevelopment can begin.

Phasing

Planning has been done for the further development of the downtown area. The first phase will begin in 2025.

The Map shows the roads in the center of Oostvoorne. The green roads on the Map, which are Burgemeester Letteweg, Kerkplein and Mildenburglaan, these will be tackled in the first phase of the project. On Mildenburglaan, the stretch from Station Road to Kerkplein will be addressed.

At Mayor Letteweg, the stretch from Station Road to the intersection with Village Square will be addressed.
Church Square will be addressed from the intersection with Hoflaan to the intersection with Burgemeester Letteweg.
