Mayor closes home in Kooistee neighborhood in Hellevoetsluis
Mayor Arno Scheepers closed a residence on May 13, 2025 due to an attack with explosives, which took place there. It concerns a home in the Kooistee neighborhood of Hellevoetsluis, the closure is for four weeks.
The decision to close this residence was made based on Article 174a of the Municipal Law. The mayor can close a residence if things occur there that disrupt public order around the residence. With the closure, the mayor wants to restore safety in the neighborhood.
Police are conducting further investigations in the case.
