Brielse Poort and Stadspoort closed briefly on Oct. 21
On Tuesday, October 21, 2025, the Stadspoort in Brielle and the Brielse Poort in Hellevoetsluis will be closed to traffic for a short time. The Hollandse Delta Water Board is testing the flood defenses. They do this once a year.
Brielle
The Stadspoort in Brielle will be closed between 09:00 and 10:00. The Jumbo will remain accessible. The fortress can be reached via the Pieter van der Wallendam.
Hellevoetsluis
The Brielse Poort, the passage to the Vesting in Hellevoetsluis, will be closed between 13:00 and 15:00. The Vesting will remain accessible via the Nieuwe Zeedijk.
