Construction contract signed for new auditorium at Oostvoorne cemetery
On Tuesday, March 3, an important step was taken for the new auditorium at the cemetery on Voorweg in Oostvoorne. Alderman Bal and Rob Doets of construction company Lagendijk & Stout signed the construction agreement. This officially marks the start of preparations for construction.

Alderman Bal emphasizes the importance of the new building. "With the construction of this auditorium, we are fulfilling a long-cherished wish of residents and relatives. It will be a functional and sustainable building where people can say goodbye in a warm and respectful environment."
A future-proof building in a natural environment
The current auditorium is outdated and does not meet modern requirements for accessibility, functionality, and sustainability. The municipality has therefore opted for a future-proof building with a warm appearance.
The design features natural materials and nature-inclusive elements. The new building has been designed with the natural environment in mind and is energy efficient. Monumental trees will be preserved and the design fits in with the landscape. This project is therefore in line with the municipality's goals for sustainability and accessibility.
