Residents' initiatives

Through the PUSH Foundation, the Municipality of Voorne aan Zee offers residents the opportunity to receive a financial contribution for activities or improvements in their neighborhood. In this way, the municipality encourages its residents to take initiatives themselves. Social added value and strengthening of togetherness and livability in the neighborhood are key conditions.

Examples of neighborhood initiatives

• A group of residents organize a neighborhood theme night on a social issue.
• A group of residents organizing a big clean-up/clean-up event in the neighborhood.
• Initiate a neighborhood father and mother project to connect (more) with the youth in the neighborhood.
• A group of residents organize coffee mornings where young people help elderly people learn how to use a phone, email and/or social media. 
• Working together with the neighborhood to refurbish a green space or park.

So your application can be about anything. In any case, the initiative must contribute to the livability of the street, neighborhood or district. It is also important that other local residents support the idea. For example, by submitting the application on behalf of a group.

Loan service

The Loan Service is intended for all residents of Voorne aan Zee. There you can borrow items free of charge for the residents' initiatives. The Loan Service offers all kinds of materials such as tents, benches, lighting, music systems and more!
