Decision-making process Wind Project North Sea Boulevard
Two modern wind turbines are planned on the North Sea Boulevard. Voorne-Putten Energie and developer Pure Energie are the initiators of this development and both submitted an application to obtain an environmental permit in December 2023.

The City Council issued a draft declaration of no objections for the North Sea Boulevard Wind Project on June 5, 2025. This means that just before summer the next step can be taken for this project.
Formal step further
A draft declaration of no objections is a formal step in the decision-making process in which the City Council indicates that it has no objections to the project. This document is necessary for the permit procedure to proceed. However, the City Council did set an important condition through an amendment. The condition states that the total capacity of both wind turbines is 11.6 MW and the tip height of the wind turbines is 225 meters.
What are the next steps?
Now that the draft statement has been issued, a period will follow in which the draft decision will be made available for public inspection for 6 weeks, during which everyone will have the opportunity to submit an opinion. Subsequently, the Municipal Executive will assess these views and process them in a Memorandum of Reply. The Memorandum of Reply will then go to the city council with the final declaration of no objections.
In September, the City Council will again consider the North Sea Boulevard Wind Project and will have to make a decision on the submitted final statement of no objections. If this is issued, the environmental permits for the wind turbines can be finally issued by the municipal executive.
The college says, "We see it as our mission to implement the widely adopted amendment."
These developments bring the realization of new renewable energy generation on the North Sea Boulevard in the port area in the Municipality of Voorne aan Zee a step closer.
