Limited operation of the Kanaal door Voorne lock until March
Repairs will be carried out on the lock at the Voorne Canal in Hellevoetsluis starting Monday, January 26. After the work is completed, we will operate the lock on a limited basis until mid-March.
The bridge on Stationsweg will remain open to cars, pedestrians, and cyclists during the work, which will continue until Wednesday, January 28.
From Friday, January 30, the lock will be accessible to shipping again, but with modified operation twice a day. The final work is expected to take place in March. Once the work has been completed, the lock will return to regular operation.
The lock at the Voorne Canal has been closed to shipping traffic since Tuesday, December 23, 2025, due to technical problems.
