Agreement: Through purchasing an admission ticket or placing a child on the waiting list for swimming lessons, an agreement is made with a participant.
A. General
General provisions
- These General Requirements are subject to the Municipality of Voorne aan Zee. Gemeente Voorne aan Zee on behalf of this team manager accommodations is authorized to enter into agreements with participants concerning swimming pool Dukdalf and swimming pool De Meander (hereinafter referred to as "the swimming pools").
- These General Requirements apply to any agreement between the Pools and the participant or his/her legal representative(s) (hereinafter referred to as the participant).
- The web address of pool Dukdalf is nl, the web address of pool De Meander is nl hereinafter referred to as "the websites."
- The Pools reserve the right to make interim changes to these General Requirements .
- The rates are set in a decision rates sports and cultural accommodation and may be adjusted annually.
- Pools publish applicable rates and General Requirements on their websites.
B. Target groups and free swimming
Activity target groups and free swimming
- The term target group swimming is a collective term for all activities organized in the pool for specific target groups in addition to association use, lesson swimming, school swimming, lane swimming and family/recreational swimming.
- Free swimming is an activity without instruction, supervision, specific form of exercise or competitive element.
Payment target groups and free swimming
- Payment for target groups or free swimming can be made in two ways: single lesson or a multi-pool pass
- Payment for the activity must be made prior to the activity.
- Activities missed due to absence will be cancelled, there is no right to compensation in any form.
Schedule of target groups and free swimming
- The pools publish the times of target groups and free swimming on the website.
- The class schedule may be changed at any time. As a result of schedule changes, no refund can ever be claimed for a multi-pool pass. Efforts will be made to communicate schedule changes early.
Validity
- The validity of a 5-bath pass for free swimming and target groups is 3 months from the time of purchase.
- The validity of a 10-bath pass for free swimming and target groups is 6 months from the time of purchase.
- If the validity of a multipool card has expired and there are at least 3 lessons left on the Map , the Map can be renewed at the front desk. 2 lessons will be deducted from the Map for this purpose. For each remaining lesson on the Map , the Map is extended by one week.
- Refund of lessons on the multi-pool card is not possible. They can only be converted to another activity or extended (5.3).
Vacations and holidays
Pools are closed on certain official holidays. The relevant dates are listed on the website.
C. Swimming lessons at pool Dukdalf and pool De Meander.
Activity swimming lessons
- Providing swimming lessons with the goal of obtaining a swimming certificate as issued by the NPZ - NRZ.
- By swimming lessons we mean: lessons for the A, B, C diploma and swimming skills. In swimming pool Dukdalf also lessons for survival and adult swimming lessons.
Sign up for swimming lessons
- Swim lessons require prior registration.
- Registration for swimming lessons is available from 3 and a half years of age.
- The amount of the entry fee can be found on the website.
- Registration is final when the registration fee is paid.
- After enrollment, the participant is placed on the waiting list and an agreement is in place.
Swim lesson schedule
- Not all lesson levels are offered every lesson day. Therefore, the participant may change days and times during the swim lesson program as they move to a different lesson level.
- The swimming pools may change the class schedule at any time. No refund of tuition or registration fees can be claimed as a result of schedule changes. Every effort will be made to communicate schedule changes early.
Class placement
- Placement in a lesson group is possible from the time the participant is 4 years old and there is space in a swimming lesson group.
- Prior to placement in a class group, (the participant's parents/guardians) will be contacted by phone or email to communicate the day and time of the class group.
- Once a participant is placed in a lesson group and the date of the 1st swimming lesson is determined, the participant is expected to come weekly. A permanent spot in the lesson group will be reserved for the participant.
Tuition swimming lessons
- A lesson card will be created at the 1st swim lesson, which will register payment.
- From the time of placement in a class group, you enter into an agreement with the respective pool and owe weekly class fees.
- Payment for swimming lessons is made by a 4-week subscription.
- Payment for swimming lessons must be made prior to lessons.
- Late payment, for any reason, will not allow participation in the swim-off. In case of non-payment after 4 weeks, the parent/guardian of the participant will be contacted to indicate that denial of class participation is imminent after 5 weeks. Failure to pay after 5 weeks will result in a (temporary or permanent) denial of lessons.
- Lessons missed due to absence will be cancelled, there is no right to compensation in any form.
- During the summer vacations and the month of December we pay with single lessons. The current 4-week subscription is not valid during this period and will be renewed.
Swimming location swimming lessons
- Pool house rules must be followed. The house rules can be found at the entrance to the pool.
- Lessons are held in a pool approved for this purpose by the government and NRZ-NPZ.
Disease
- If the participant is assigned to a particular class group, the participant is also expected to come weekly. The subscription always continues even in case of absence. Should the participant be ill for a long period of time, for example with a broken arm, the participant can be placed on the sick list. This should be communicated via e-mail
to swimming pool Dukdalfnl, swimming pool de Meandernl and clearly state that the participant should be placed on the sick list. The participant is not registered on the sick list until the participant receives a confirmation e-mail from the pool. When the participant is on the sick list the subscription will be temporarily stopped until the participant is reported better again. The duration of the sick list is subject to a minimum of 2 weeks. For a shorter period, the subscription will not be compensated. - The spot in the lesson group can be filled by the swimming teachers when someone is registered on the sick list.
- Once the participant is better again, this should be indicated by phone, email or at the front desk. The coordinator of private swimming lessons will then contact you to discuss in which group the participant will be placed again. The participant can therefore not automatically return to the lesson group the participant was in before the sick list.
- If it is forgotten to register the participant on the sick list according to the procedure indicated in point 13.1, the lessons will have to be paid as usual. The participant cannot report sick retroactively.

Absence
- If the participant is absent for 3 weeks without giving a reason or without registration on the sick list, a parent/guardian of the participant will be contacted to indicate that denial of class participation is imminent after 4 weeks.
- If the participant is absent for more than 4 weeks without giving a reason or without registration on the sick list, the participant will lose his place in the swimming lesson group. The participant still owes tuition for those 4 weeks. If you indicate that the participant will return, we will see in which lesson group he/she can be placed again.
Vacations and holidays
- There are no classes on certain official holidays. The relevant dates are listed on the website. These holidays are also always communicated through the mail and displayed on the counter at the pools.
- In the summer vacations, classes are merged and you only owe tuition if the participant participates in the class. You therefore pay in the summer vacation with "single lessons".
- During the month of December, payment is made with "single lessons." You only owe tuition if the participant participates in the class.
- Outside the summer vacations and the month of December are paid with a 4 lesson subscription. Lessons cancelled due to a holiday will be compensated in the subscription by extending the subscription by the number of missed lessons.
- During all other school vacations (other than summer vacations) swimming lessons continue at normal times but are not optional. If the participant does not participate in her/his lesson it must still be paid for. If it is decided to combine classes during a vacation, the participant will be informed in advance by e-mail.
Attendance of parents/caregivers
- Parent(s)/guardian(s) may be present in the swimming hall only in consultation with or at the direction of swimming staff. This is done to ensure the quality of swimming lessons.
- At all times the instructions of the swimming instructors must be followed.
Swim along/look along weeks in pool Dukdalf
- Several times a year there is a swim along, viewing week in swimming pool Dukdalf. The dates of these weeks are listed on the website, in the app and at the front desk. During the co-swimming lessons, participants of the Seahorse, Penguin, Dolphin and Orca levels go to the deep pool with a parent/guardian of 18+ years of age (in possession of a swimming certificate), accompanied by the swimming instructor.
- Without the cooperation of a parent/guardian, the participant cannot practice with the group in the deep pool. It is not possible for the swimming instructor to lend a helping hand to participants individually in the deep pool.
- In the Frog level, it is no longer allowed to swim with the participant but may watch from the shore.
- For participants who are in the diploma groups, there are no swim along/viewing lessons.
- If several children without a swimming certificate come with you during swim-along lessons, they may not move around the pool without adult supervision.
Watching lessons in swimming pool The Meander
- Several times a year there is a viewing week in swimming pool De Meander. There are weeks when you can watch in the swimming hall and weeks when you can watch from behind the window in the foyer. Dates of the viewing lessons are listed on the site, in the app and at the front desk.

Diploma swimming
- The swimming pools reserve the right to change diploma swimming dates at any time. The participant will be notified accordingly.
- Participants are selected for diploma swimming during swimming lessons and receive an application form for that purpose.
- During diploma swimming, it is possible to swim 'Together on exam' in swimming pool Dukdalf. A parent or caregiver then swims with the participant.
- Attendance during diploma swimming is a prerequisite for graduation.
Swim lesson cancellation and refunds.
- Canceling swim lessons can be done by sending an email.
Zwembad dukdalfnl
Zwembad De Meandernl - Once the cancellation is received the swimming lesson will be stopped. A check will then be made to see if any tuition is still due. Outstanding lesson fees must be paid at the front desk.
- Refund of remaining lessons on the lesson card is not possible.
- Refund of the amount paid when registering for swimming lessons will not be refunded if one does decide not to take swimming lessons at our pools.
- Canceling swim lessons can be done by sending an email.
Communication swimming lesson
- The participant's progress in class can be tracked through the student tracking system. Logging into the student tracking system can be done through the website or through the app.
- No announcements can be made about the participant during the class. If desired, a "call back form" can be filled out after which a call will be returned as soon as possible. The "call back form" is available at the front desk or can be sent via the app.
D. Safety and Hygiene
Safety and Hygiene
- Any physical limitations or health problems/risks must be mentioned when registering for swimming lessons or at the start of an activity. Only then
can the swimming instructor take personal circumstances into account during swimming lessons. Without mention, the swimming pools cannot take and bear responsibility for the risks and consequences. - In the interest of safety, house rules must be followed. These house rules can be found on the website and at the entrance to the pools.
- Sports Complex Dukdalf has held the Safe and Clean Seal of Approval since 2012, providing additional assurance of safety and hygiene.
- Swimming lessons are taught only by certified swimming teachers.
- The swimming pools hold the National Swimming Diploma License, issued by the NRZ-NPZ.
- Swimming pools are part of the swimming pool industry and are therefore affiliated with the Swimming Industry Code of Conduct, developed by the National Swimming Pool Platform (NRZ). The Code of Conduct contains rules of conduct in swimming pools, which both parents and employees can appeal to.

- Any physical limitations or health problems/risks must be mentioned when registering for swimming lessons or at the start of an activity. Only then
Exclusion
- Failure to comply with one or more rules and repeated failure to follow the instructions of the swimming lesson instructor may result in exclusion from participation in swimming lessons or activities.

Liability
- The pools are never liable for damages suffered by the participant or parent/guardian during participation in the activity, unless there is intent or gross negligence on the part of the respective pool.
- If the pool in question is liable, its liability is in any case limited to the amount and cases for which the pool's liability insurance pays out.
- The participant is liable for all damages caused by his/her actions while using the accommodation.
- Under no circumstances can the swimming pools be held liable for damages suffered by the participant or his/her attendant due to loss, theft, loss or damage of items or for damages resulting from the discontinuation of swimming lessons.
- In the event that lessons cannot be taught or activity offered due to force majeure (e.g. illness, death, fire, legislation or damage), the respective pool cannot be held liable.
- The condition for any right to compensation is always that you report the damage as soon as possible, but no later than 14 days, after its occurrence by registered letter to the pool concerned.
Privacy
- All personal and/or confidential information will be treated with respect for the participant's privacy and will not be disclosed to third parties, unless the respective pool is required to do so by an authorized legal authority.

Disputes
- All disputes between the pools and the participant are governed by Dutch law.

Final provision
- After completing the registration process in full, the participant is placed on the waiting list. By signing the swim lesson registration form or entering into a payment for admission to any activity in the pool, you declare that you have read, understood and accepted these General Requirements .
