Events Policy

The events policy of the Municipality of Voorne aan Zee for the period 2024-2028 aims to harmonize and improve events, especially after the merger of Brielle, Hellevoetsluis and Westvoorne. The policy provides clear rules and guidelines for organizing events, with attention to safety, sustainability and suitability of venues.

Of course, we did not create this policy alone. We have closely involved our residents, event organizers and other stakeholders. We also looked at how other municipalities deal with events in their communities.

  • Limiting inconvenience to local residents.
  • Supporting organizers in safely organizing events.

  • Role of the Municipality: Facilitating and cooperating, with a focus on hospitality and connection.
  • Sustainability: Advice and support for sustainable events.
  • Suitability of event venues: Venue profiles to assess whether an event fits a venue. Location profiles are expected to be available in 2025.
  • Innovative events: Encourage new and different events.
  • Safety requirements: Support in meeting safety requirements.
  • Promotion: Promotion through municipal channels and cooperation with Marketing OP Voorne-Putten.
  • Health: Attention to addiction prevention and health during events.
